2026 Historic international climate change conference- transitioning from fossil fuels
The April 2026 Santa Marta (Colombia) Transitioning Away from Fossil Fuels international conference was the very first to address fossil fuels, the primary cause of global climate change. It was a great success, with real hope for our future, and will progress to annual conferences, with ongoing work to phase out fossil fuels -fast, fair and funded- in the urgent transition off fossil fuel to 100% clean energy. The conference was proposed by the Fossil Fuel Treaty project.
